About me

I am a graphic designer and painter based in Chicago, IL. My journey as an artist began in middle school and developed into a serious passion through the encouragement of my peers. After winning an honorable mention for watercolor paintings at a LaGrange Art League show in 7th grade, I knew art was the path I wanted to pursue, and I took off running from there.

As I entered high school, I found myself immersed in growing my knowledge and skills through any means possible, and I began to frequent art museums. I spent most of my time studying art history, creating artwork in my room, and participating in early college program classes at the Art Institute of Chicago. The high school art room quickly became my favorite place in the world, allowing me space to develop my personal art style and discover conceptual storytelling through visual cues, symbolism, color, and composition.

Upon graduation, I began my journey at the University of Denver, pursuing a BFA in Studio Arts. After overcoming a difficult transition and navigating life alone for the first time, I transferred schools to the University of Colorado in Denver with the goal of finishing my degree there. Then, the pandemic hit, and school grounds were closed indefinitely, moving classes to remote sessions. What was the point in taking a drawing class when I could only reference pictures on my computer screen?

At this point, I pivoted. I jumped headfirst into a remote education from Full Sail University, where I rounded out my art skills by adding knowledge of digital art and design. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design.
Throughout the time I was in school, I began my freelance art business, creating commission paintings (oil and acrylic) for clients. Once I became comfortable with digital programs and the fundamentals of graphic design, I began taking on internships and personal clients for branded design services, logo creations, social media post designs, and print media assets (like posters, merchandise, etc.). When I am not painting or designing, I love being in nature or spending time with my family and pets.
